Gucci Guilty Perfume For Women Review :
Gucci is a luxe Italian lifestyle brand. Born in 1881, craftsman’s son Guccio Gucci founded the House of Gucci as a saddler shop in Florence in 1906. Guccio’s first talent was his craftsmanship in leather goods.
And now, his brand exhibits a varied line of products including leather fashions, perfumes, colognes, cosmetics, shoes (including the moccasin with the distinctive Gucci snaffle-bit), suitcases, watches, jewelry, silk scarves, sports articles, belt clasps, ties, and eyeglasses. Guilty by Gucci was launched in September 2010. Evan Rachel Wood, a singer and actress was shown as an ambassador for advertising campaigns.
Guilty by Gucci is a contemporary, sexy and dynamic scent which has light and spicy top notes of mandarin, pink pepper with lilac, peach and geranium in the heart, and end notes of amber and patchouli.
My Experience with Gucci Guilty Perfume:
In my opinion, this can prove to be one of the signature fragrances for women who prefer mysterious essence as this adequately fulfills that need. A floriental scent gives a boost to your femininity, while not being too naïve. This is dark, going-out kind of scent and smells like something one would like to wear out clubbing or to a date.
When I tried it from its sample, it made me think of a woman who is wearing fur in a jazz club late night. I would recommend it to women who like to experiment with spicy fragrances which are not too strong or musky in appeal. Definitely skip for office or family functions.
The packaging has been designed keeping in mind a woman who is sexy, brave, and glamorous, loves to party and live life with style. Hence, it boasts of an evergreen color scheme of gold and black. The outer packaging which consists of a black box has the ‘entangled G’ logo of Gucci and very little print. The perfume bottle is Gold finished and bright. The impressive bottle has fusion of metal and glass, with the iconic interlocking G logo in the center which has been elegantly cut to unmask the bottle’s interior.
The fragrance opens with a citrus flavor and a hint of pepper which is quite gutsy. This introduction engages and leads to a strong feeling of femininity with the middle notes playing floral and fruity. It dried down to a rich base of patchouli and amber- a safer combination compared to the top notes. I felt the notes were highly distinctive and young. Silage is persistent.
It will work best if worn in the night time during the seasons of spring and fall.
Staying power is moderate to long lasting as it will also depend on the skin type. After application at 10 in the morning, the fragrance stayed till 4 in the afternoon. For me the longevity comes at 7, on a scale of 1 to 10.
Let us have a quick look at the likes and dislikes I’ve felt about Gucci Guilty :
- Strong Silage.
- Glamorous bottle.
- Daring in approach.
- Decent longevity
- Can’t be worn to office due to spicy and bold nature.
- Restricted to winter season
