Salvatore Ferragamo has been well known for the ability to create elegant innovations. Launched in 2014, the Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Scent Golden Acacia belongs to the luxurious collection of the Tuscan Scent Line of the House Salvatore Ferragamo.
It can be classified as under the Oriental- Floral fragrances and is a unisex fragrance. In contrast to the majority of other fragrances form the Tuscan Line which are Eau De Toilette (EDT), it is an Eau De Parfum (EDP).
The fragrance has the following notes:
Top Notes: Broom and Orange Blossom
Mid Notes: Black Locust Honey and Patchouli
Base Notes: Opoponax and Amber
My Experience with Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Scent Golden Acacia Perfume:
In the beginning, what I get is a lot of Honey notes which are thick and heavily refined. Along with it, there accompanies an underlying sweet fragrance of the Opoponax. The Honey notes subdue all the others notes. This makes Golden Acacia very loud at the inception.
After an hour, the Honey note beautifully blends in with Patchouli and Opoponax imparting an earthy touch. The staying power of the EDP ranges from 12-13 hours. With the nearing of the 12th hour, the Opoponax is gradually tones down and the Patchouli takes over.
The combination of the floral touch of Opoponax, sweet notes of Honey and the earthly feel by Patchouli make the Golden Acacia a pretty mature scent and appeals to the more mature section. It is a unique winter scent and is well suited to be worn during the fall/winter season and the beginning of spring months.
Talking of the occasions, the Golden Acacia is too flashy to be worn at work and formal events. At events like weddings and casual meets, this fragrance would add an elegant touch. The Golden Acacia would also be well complimented with the Winter Clothing.
Talking of the staying power, for the initial 5-6 hours, the fragrance has a very strong presence at an arm’s length. At the 13th hour, it tones down to closely sticking to the skin.
Let us have a quick look at the likes and dislikes of this perfume:
1.The staying power is very impressive. As time passes, the fragrance gradually descends with a well blended touch.
2.Crisp, sharp and alluring notes.
3.The design of the bottle is decent and elegant yet conveys a sense of mystery.
- Honey is a tricky note to wear. For most of the duration, it over powers all the other notes making Golden Acacia a very loud fragrance.
- Other notes surface only after a dry down occurs.
- The sweet oriental touch is more inclined to be suited for women. It is more of a feminist fragrance.
- It is a bit overpriced.
The Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Scent Golden Acacia is an extremely unique fragrance with the burst of honey in it. The combinations of the notes makes it a mature scent and also limit it’s use. But for those who love sweet floral fragrances and won’t refrain from wearing heavy notes, Golden Acacia might just be the right choice to pick as the Honey notes come out to be pretty natural and enjoyable. The price is a bit on the heavy side when judged with respect to the experience provided.
