Boy Chanel Perfume Review:
Boy Chanel perfume got launched by Chanel in 2016. The nose behind it is Olivier Polge. Boy Chanel is an Aromatic Fougere Fragrance for Men and Women. It is a part of the ‘Les Exclusif’s Collection’. There is a very unique concept behind its name and creation. Gabrielle Chanel considered Arthur ‘Boy’ Capel as her soul mate.
Inspired by their love, Boy Chanel fragrance is said to be a vibrant , perfectly balanced scent that challenges tradition and transcends gender. Boy Chanel is available in Eau de Parfum concentration.

My Experience with Boy Chanel Perfume :
Upon initial spray, I was not really blown away. BOY CHANEL is definitely aromatic with it’s lavender and the geranium notes but at the same time it is very soft. The vanilla base can be easily smelt by me. Also, I can smell the zesty orange blossom and lemon. It is like a powdery floral with a slightly strong vanilla base. I can sense the timeless elegance of the era which inspired its creation. Well, the opening beautifully dries down and evolves to a little bit soft leathery kind of note. It is a very comforting note almost skin hugging. I can feel the woody base of the musk and sandalwood. It is a little bit warm.
After, say 5 minutes, BOY CHANEL gradually evolves itself into a beautifully infused aromatic fougere. But what I really miss is the freshness the Moss Note could have added to this perfume. I couldn’t feel the Moss note amongst the other notes. BOY CHANEL is a romantic, nostalgic and classic fragrance. I was almost reminiscent of the 1900’s where people wore elegant clothes and men were so chivalrous.
Talking of the other aspects, the silage is pretty moderate. The projection doesn’t go way too far and the perfume beautifully lingers onto the skin and at arm’s length.
Occasion wise, BOY CHANEL is for people who have a refined taste. It is not versatile w.r.t. the wearability but one can easily carry it at classic or fancy dinner parties. Gender wise as well, the wearability is suited more for men.
The design of the bottle is quite simple. The glass of the bottle has a sparkly tinge to it and is covered by a black cap. The perfume liquid is of very light greenish color.
Below is a quick summary of likes and dislikes that I’ve felt about this fragrance:
1.It is very classy and luxurious and has the CHANEL ‘DNA’ in it.
2.It is the right kind of aromatic, fresh spicy, floral citrus fragrance.
1.It is slightly inclined to suit men as it is a bit more masculine.
2.It lacks versatility. So the wearability is pretty restricted.

Overall : BOY CHANEL is a soft and not an overwhelming fragrance. It is very different from a lot of modern fragrances which are either dirty or provocative or just fresh. But there is nothing groundbreaking about it. Undoubtedly, it is classy and romantic and has the 1900’s throwback edge, yet the wearability is restricted. So if you are a CHANEL fan, you love what they create and want to feel the ‘timeless 20th Century elegance’ then you might consider giving Boy Chanel a try.
