Chance Eau de Parfum Chanel For Women Review:
The newest addition in the ‘Chanel‘ family is the “Chance” series. Chanel Chance is the first scent created by Jaques Polge and needless to say, is an unforgettable and gorgeously crafted composition! Chanel has always been associated with its enchanting powers, known to captivate women all across the globe and despite being slightly skeptical initially; it’s safe to say, this enthralling scent embodies the Chanel traditions with absolute grace and perfection.
The sweet citrusy floral tones with a hint of jasmine, lemon and patchouli blending in, makes it’s a timeless and ageless classic. Modern, youthful and elegant, Chanel Chance still firmly ranks as my favorite Chance in the quartet thanks in part, to the riveting and sensual Patchouli vibes. It exudes ‘sexy’ and perfect for your sunny day outs on Madison Avenue.
Chance by Chanel For Women Perfume Scent Descriptions:
Top Notes – Pink Pepper, Lemon and Pineapple
Heart Notes – Hyacinth, Jasmine and Iris
Base Notes – Amber, Patchouli, Vetiver and White Musk
My Experience With This Perfume:
Chanel Chance is the perfume which effectively kicked off the ‘Chance ‘proceedings’ of chanel fragrances and is the shining beacon of the Chance quartet. This is something which you can spritz all over, without being overbearing. It’s refined, beautifully feminine and its spicy bite of pink pepper and sweet blooms of jasmine will leave you enchanted and youthful, all with a touch of class.
Definitely not one of the most innovative fragrances out there, Chanel Chance does suffer from the ‘Chanel-Generic’ hangover. However like everything Chanel, this never grows old or boring and is distinctively multi-layered. It simply does what Chanel does best and just hits all the right spots and proves to be refreshing, soothing yet invigorating in any weather. It’s light, exquisite and seductive and settles into an earthy musky scent which is very laid back but yet so unpretentious.
Applicability: It’s the perfect fragrance to fall back upon when you want to keep it cheerful and inoffensive. It screams the sophisticated modern corporate woman with its refined soft wisps of musk, delicately wrapped around the subtle floral core.
Packaging: As it is with the other three in the Chance lineup of Chanel perfumes, the packaging doesn’t disappoint. If anything its brilliant circular shape depicts happiness in a bottle and can easily be thrown into you pretty clutch. The outer packaging as always is simple and elegant without much print sorely focused on the Chanel brand name. This design is here to stay.
Staying power: As the Chanel Chance fades, you notice the sillage is quite close to the skin and is almost ambery with a whiff of vanilla and lasts 5-6 hours which is pretty reasonable. Longevity is pretty decent as well and it can be termed long-lasting.
It does leave a fresh and subtle trail which lingers around all day.
Let me quickly summarize the likes and dislikes for this perfume.
- Travel friendly: Extremely easy to carry around thanks to its magnificent shape.
- Versatility: All purpose perfume can be worn by all ages.
- Inevitable comparisons to Coco Mademoiselle
- Too pricey
- Peppery notes not for everyone.
With its refreshing and soothing mix, spraying this on is akin to the joy of hugging one of your favorite people in your life. This all-purpose fragrance warrants a definite repurchase and lasts well and can be invigorating in any weather. This is one perfume which ticks all the right boxes and a definite must-have in your collection.
