Cherry in the Air Escada Perfume For Women (2013) Review:
Cherry in the Air was introduced by the Design House Escada in the year 2013. It draws its inspiration from French landscapes, cycling through orchards and picking cherries in the summers and is described as ’a joyful and delicious fragrance which conjures the memory of a walk in sunny country under a cherry tree’. It is a Floral-Fruity Fragrance and is available as an EDT concentrate.
Escada was launched by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley, A Husband-Wife duo, in the year 1976. Ever since then, Escada has a premier luxury brand with a huge fan base.

My Experience with Cherry In the Air Perfume for women:
The opening sensation of this Escada Cherry Perfume is all about cherries and I can easily smell them. Cherry fragrances are the kind of fragrances I love to wear during Spring season. The juicy top notes of Cherry and Raspberry with the feeble Mandarin at the background is very soothing.
It is sweet and has a slight citrusy touch and is extremely reminiscent of playful sunny days at the onset of spring. The heart of the fragrance is very gentle. The gardenia and orchid notes blend in softly with the marshmallow note. Yet, even in the heart, somewhere the raspberry note dominates. There is less of gardenia and orchid and more of the raspberry.
The heart slowly dries down and reveals the warm base, which is very woody in nature. The base notes of Sandalwood, Vanilla, Suede and Cedar Wood emerge and linger on till the end. There is a leathery finish to the whole experience.
Season: This perfume is a perfect cherry scented perfume, specially formulated for Spring season. Though, you can wear it during summers also. Some of you may also feel comfortable carrying it during winters due to the warm leathery base composition. It is basically a day and evening scent.
Talking of the age group, the scent has a youthful aura to it. So it is best suited for teenagers and young women.
The sillage is soft and moderate. The longevity stays somewhere between moderate and long lasting.
Packaging: The bottle cover and design reflect a lot about the perfume. The cover design is youthful and lively. It is an eye catcher and compels to explore what’s inside of it! The transparent perfume liquid comes in a pink colored bottle, the intensity of which fades from top to bottom of the bottle. At the neck, there is a cute pink bow which has a button with cherry printed on it.
Below is a quick summary of likes and dislikes I’ve felt about this perfume:
- It is a very natural Cherry Scent and is an absolute stunner for Spring.
- The cover and bottle design is very catchy. I totally love them both.
- The sensation of the scent is fun, pleasant and playful. Not to forget, it is so reminiscent of spring/summer.
- The Raspberry note is a bit overpowering. Though Cherry in the Air is a lot about cherries, yet somewhere the Cherry Note is dominated by Raspberry which makes the fragrance excessively sweet.
Cherry in the Air is an amazing formulation by Escada. It has the fun and flirty element in it. The dry down is blissful and soothing. Yet there are peaks where the Raspberry note overpowers and makes the accord excessively sweet. I would surely recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves soft sweet scents.
