Bonbon Couture Viktor & Rolf Perfume for women Review (launched in year 2016):
From the much-coveted perfume duo, Cécile Matton and Serge Majoullier, comes Viktor & Rolf’s new flanker to the 2014 delightful and sweet BonBon. Generally, as a rule of thumb, you pick up a perfume based on the scent it exudes, but every now and then comes a bottle so pretty and beautiful that you can’t help but buy it first and then spray it later. This is precisely the conundrum BonBon presents, albeit a very pleasant one.
The original BonBon wasn’t for everybody; it was found guilty of being too sweet and a bit too ‘girly’. The new Couture version, however, evolves into a more refined, deeper and complex zone with the addition of caramel, which gives it a more intensified, luxurious and mature aura making you want to dive right in and indulge.
The distinct and sensual twists of mandarin and Neroli punctuate its juicy opening. It’s creamy heart notes add a delectable flavor with orange blossom and jasmine providing the perfect tonic to the deep and woody accords of sandal and blonde tobacco which outlines its foundation thus creating a magical symphony of notes.
Bonbon Couture Perfume Scent Descriptions:
Top Notes – Mandarin, Neroli Oil, and Peach
Heart Notes – Orange Blossom, Sambac Jasmine, and Caramel
Base Notes – Tobacco, Vanilla, Patchouli and Sandalwood
My Experience With This Perfume:
If you have already experienced the original BonBon, the first thing you would notice is how smooth and creamy the new iteration is, thanks to the additions of Vanilla and Caramel notes which makes you smell absolutely scrumptious and will certainly appeal to your sweet tooth. Perfect for those chilly autumn evenings, BonBon Couture will certainly help liven up your spirits and those around you, with its mystical and delicious vibes and easily lingers around for the whole night.
Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is incredibly strong, with the couture adding more intensity than the original and longevity is also quite decent ranging from 8-9 hours. What really catches the eye (and the nose as well) , is its oh-so-glamorous packaging, this is one to spruce up your vanity collection for sure. The bottle itself is a piece of art which can adorn your table and be its centerpiece with its signature twisted candy shape guaranteed to make it the object of your neighbors envy.
Let me quickly summarize the likes and dislikes for this perfume:
- Stunning Candy Shaped Bottle.
- Much more refined and sophisticated than its previous reiteration.
- Perfect for gifting.
- Not very versatile for all weather conditions.
- Pretty much the same bottle like the previous one.
