Lanvin Modern Princess Perfume for Women Review (2016 fragrance):
Lanvin launched the fragrance Modern Princess in 2016 as a fragrance for the modern woman in search of an abode to glamour, adventure and the fire that lives within. She is sensual, independent and raw. Christopher Raynaud is the creator of this cologne.
Lanvin Modern Princess Perfume Scent Descriptions and Notes:
Top notes include pink lady apple and red currant. Middle notes comprise of jasmine, and freesia flower. And, it has musk, woods and vanilla in the base.
My experience with this perfume:
Passion. Attraction. Fascination. These were the first words that struck my mind when I used the sample of this scent. It is youthful and highly irresistible. It awoke the independent woman inside me and manifested within a blend of fierceness and sweetness. The redness attached to the perfume in terms of the ingredients and the color theme is apropos as it efficiently describes the feeling of a forbidden love. The fragrance is full of fruits, floral and girly elements. Decent experience, though some notes overpower others.
Packaging: The packaging is beautiful with a nicely crafted glass bottle. The bottle has been designed by Carré Basset. The box is red in color and the logo in a contrasting white color. Similarly, on the bottle the brand name is in red color and the fluid is pinkish, light red in color. The red fluid symbolizes passion and secrecy. The cap is adorned with a golden work which adds on the beauty. Overall, the flacon is stylish but not very purse-friendly.
Experience with notes: The top notes are very youthful and inviting as they open with fresh red currant. In the middle, the jasmine and the freesia flower gives the cologne a sweet and feminine touch. Vanilla and musk are assertive and luxurious. The base notes leave you with a beautiful feminine experience. Nothing exceptionally memorable about the notes!
Weather appropriate: Best season to wear this fragrance would be in summers or spring. And, the best time of the day would be from morning to evening but I would suggest the application to be highly subjective. It can be worn to office and meetings.
Staying power: The perfume lasts for more than four hours which is quite good. The Freesia flower is overpowering and stays all along. I could smell it on my sweater even after eight hours of application.
Below are the likes and dislikes that I’ve felt about this fragrance:
-Extremely stylish flacon
-Average notes- nothing to long for
-Name doesn’t suit the aura that it creates
